You can find Vishnevo village 5 km from Banite (the regional center), 57 km from Smolyan, 123 km from Plovdiv, 263 km from Sofia. Its altitude is from 700 to 1200 m. Typical for the climate are cool summer and soft sunny winter.
There are several ways, that you can reach Ekohotel "Vishnevo", starting from or just passing by Plovdiv. It’s hard to say which one is more impressive. The first one is the main road to Smolyan, from which you can leave out and go through the Rozhen pass. Here you can also choose. One way is through the picturesque Momchilovtzi village and the other passing by the National astronomical observatory on the Rozhen peak.
After that you go through the beautiful Rhodopi villages - Vievo, Slaveino, Petkovo, Malka arda, and the balneo center Banite. This road is opened in all the seasons. Another way to reach us is leaving out the main road from Plovdiv to Smolyan at Yugovo Hanche, heading the town of Luki. Here we have two options again. One is going through the highest village in the Balkan region - Manastir, just beneath the peak "Svoboda" (2000 m), which you can easy reach, because there are stairs all the way up. The road ia asphalt (after Manastir entirely new) and gives you an incredible views of the landscape. Unfortunately this way is closed when there is snow.
Yet another way is through the game reserve area of "Kormisosh", just before Luki town. The way goes very close to the religious center "Krustova gora", where, according to the legend, is buried a small piece of the crucifix. Unfortunately, there is a part of this road (although not long) which is not asphalted and you might consider using SUV.
Other tourist routes are the peak "Svoboda", peak "Rozhen" (where you can visit the National astronomical observatory, chalet "Prespa", the region "Haidushki polyani", "Pamporovo", the game reserve area of "Kormisosh".
